Amazing Tutor

Ms Gil has been my daughter's tutor since eighth grade. She is now entering her junior year in HS. Over the years I have found Ms Gil to be well versed on many subjects.

This last school year she helped prepare my daughter for trigonometry English global history and earth science and my daughter successfully passed all of them.

Ms Gil is an amazing tutor who combines firmness and fairness while developing the skills and confidence that my daughter needs to succeed. She is an integral part of my daughter's education and we both appreciate her care and concern.

Let me start by saying Ms G is a blessing to my daughter. She has been with Ms G since 2nd grade. I just started with ELA and then she begged me for math as well. I didn't have it however Ms G worked with me and granted her wish.

My daughter is now entering 9th grade. She has been accepted to her dream school (specialized high school) LAGUARDIA HIGH SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS. She is also entering as a advanced math student.

She was able to take the Algebra 1 Regents Exam in 8th grade thanks to Ms G. Academically my daughter will not be where she is without this wonderful and caring woman.

I already see the next step "Ivy League College" Thanks Ms G for turning my daughter that is now a TEEN into a phenomenonal student!"

Amazing Tutor

This tutor is teaching my son Geometry a prep for his regents, as we all know it's a tough subject and with the change they made this year has made it much difficult.

So i am very pleased to say that this tutor not only knows exactly what she is talking about but is a huge help, her techniques have weight, i can see how much effort she has put into my son, she makes sure my son understands what he is learning and tests him to see if he is paying attention.

I feel very comfortable having her in my home, she gives us a warm feeling and a positive vibe.

I strongly recommend this tutor :)

Miss Giliante is very professional and has a lot of patience. With the help of Miss Giliante my son’s reading comprehension improved.

My son took the English regents in January and he scored a 77 and will not have to take English in college.

Very Patient

This was my daughter's second session with Ms. Gilant, and she loves her. She is excited and eager to reinforce her learning. She tells me that Ms. Gilant is patient and explains when she does a problem wrong.

Extremely Patient

Gilant tutored my daughter who is in 8th grade in Algebra. My daughter was really struggling in Math in school. She was scheduled to take the regents and I knew she needed a tutor.

Gilant was very patient with my daughter. She sent home materials after each session so that she could study during the week. Gilant always kept me updated with my daughter's progress.

I am happy to say that my daughter passed her math class and the regents!! I will be sure to recommend Gilant to anyone who needs tutoring.

Lifesaver

Ms. Gil was a lifesaver for my daughter. My daughter is in 9th grade and was really struggling with Algebra and Living Environment. I was not only afraid that my daughter would fail her core subjects, but also fail the upcoming regents.

After about 2-3 sessions with Ms. Gil, I saw an improvement in my daughter’s test grades. On her first report card, her average was 65-70 in both classes. The following marking period, my daughter’s grades slowly increased.

I will tell you this; Ms. Gil works the students very hard. She is very firm, which is fine because I didn’t need a tutor that would be laughing too much with my child,

I needed someone that I knew my daughter would respect and know they are not playing with her lol. You have to be honest and know your child lol.

Ms. G teaches the entire time, she assigns homework and will kindly let you know at the first session, what her expectations are. They are simple, she expects to students to work hard, complete her assignments and be ready to work when she arrives. I think that is fair, and had no issues with it.

So fast forward, we are at the end of the school year. My daughter passed both regents! She also ended the school year with a 91 in Living Environment and an 80 in Math. I will definitely take that because my daughter came a very long way.

Ms. Gil, you are a lifesaver, and I wish more of the educators within the schools were like you.

Awesome Tutor!

I retained Gilant P.'s services for 2 months to prepare my 7th grade son who this past winter was diagnosed with ADHD for the Common Core State test this past spring. She focused on ELA & Math with him.

I'm happy to say Ms. Gilant worked very hard, patiently and diligently with my son, who with his condition makes it very hard for him to focus.

Last month, I received a call from my son's Dean at his school informing me that he passed both his ELA & Math with above average scores!!!

I have already attained her services for this coming fall as my son will be entering the 8th grade.

Great teacher who does something she really loves and enjoys- TUTORING!

Ms. Gil is an excellent teacher who dedicates herself daily for her students. Seeing the success of her students is what she works to achieve everyday. She is very committed to her students and work just as hard as they do to ensure their success.

This is not just a job because I can tell by her dedication and patience that she loves and enjoys tutoring these students and loves to see them succeed.

I started using her a year ago with my daughter in eighth grade to tutor her in math and science. She was struggling at the beginning of the years especially in science and math with her average not higher than in the 70's and 80's.

However by the end of the year with the help of Ms. Gil her average skyrocketed up to 92% in science and her math average was also above 90%. For the first time because of Ms. Gil, she made the Honor Roll and graduated with Honors with her overall average above 90%.

My daughter just started her first year in high school and I am still using Ms. Gil to tutor her because I believe with her help my daughter will continue to do well in school in math, earth science and whatever other class she may find challenging.

Thanks again Ms. Gil for all the help, interest, patience, and dedication you showed my daughter. You help her not just academically but you also built her confidence to work harder and challenge those harder classes she always fear especially math and science.
